I was thinking about getting an unlocked iphone for chistmas. Now i know the iphone is coming out next year some time in Australia (Dont know when exactly - if anyone knows please do tell)

I was just wondering, if i were to get an unlocked iphone now, how would it compare to the ones to be released in Australia next year (what would i miss out on; y would mine b worse )???
